After recitation, Huzur said that this month of Ramadan which comprises of few days is a practice for the whole year and an encouragement for the weak. An itekaf for eleven days was the practice of the Holy Prophet (pbuh). Progress out of Ramadan with a change. The gate to Paradise has to be fashioned by ourselves in this world. Be as generous and efficient in the conduct of good deeds, prayers and giving of alms, as is the wind in a strong gale. Abstain from quarrels and lies. Sins and good deed always increase. A great struggle is needed to refrain from lying.

After recitation, Huzur told that Allah is very near to us and listens to everyone’s prayers during the month of Ramadan. We should have a complete and sincere faith in Allah. The actual purpose of staying hungry is to understand the plights of a poor brother. Ramadan is the season to achieve nearness to Allah. Utilize all your energies in acquiring Allah’s will. There is satisfaction in helping the poor. Iftari (breaking of one’s fast) should not be converted into a social function. Huzur announced a bait after the secondary sermon in Arabic.

Huzur stated that to observe fast while traveling or in ill health is not in accordance with obedience to Allah. Tahajud and other prayers must be specially emphasized upon during the month of Ramadan. The opening of the gates of Paradise and satan’s confinement is only for the believers. Jin is actually anger. Ramadan is a mean to seek Allah’s forgiveness for our sins in the past and well being for the future. Ramadan also brings about a pleasant change on our physical health. After recitation, Huzur clarified the revelation of the Holy Quran. The month of Ramadan is an excellent opportunity to follow all the injunctions given in the Holy Quran. Machines can be used to assist in the sighting of the moon, if it is not visible with the naked eye. An estimate should be reached upon, to observe fasts and prayers if the difference between day and night is not evident. To observe fast while traveling is a deception to one’s own self. God cannot be pleased by placing unnecessary hardships onto ourselves. A lot of additional prayers should be offered in Ramadan to acquire nearness with and blessings from Allah.
