The Holy Quran : Chapter 88: Al-Ghashiyah
الغَاشِیَة
Quranic Script Style:
[88:1]
بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمـٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
[88:1]
بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ
[88:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[88:1] اللہ کے نام کے ساتھ جو بے انتہا رحم کرنے والا، بِن مانگے دینے والا (اور) بار بار رحم کرنے والا ہے۔
[88:2]
هَلْ اَتٰٮكَ حَدِيْثُ الْغَاشِيَةِؕ
[88:2]
هَلۡ أَتَٮٰكَ حَدِيثُ ٱلۡغَـٰشِيَةِ
[88:2] Has there come to thee the news of the overwhelming calamity ?
[88:2] کیا تجھے مدہوش کردینے والی (ساعت) کی خبر پہنچی ہے؟
[88:3]
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَٮِٕذٍ خَاشِعَةٌۙ
[88:3]
وُجُوهٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ خَـٰشِعَةٌ
[88:3] Some faces on that day will be downcast;
[88:3] بعض چہرے اُس دن سخت خوفزدہ ہوں گے۔
[88:4]
عَامِلَةٌ نَّاصِبَةٌۙ
[88:4]
عَامِلَةٌ۬ نَّاصِبَةٌ۬
[88:4] Toiling, weary.
[88:4] (یعنی قبل ازیں دنیا کی جستجو میں) سخت مشقت کرنے والے (اور) تھک کر چور ہوجانے والے۔
[88:5]
تَصْلٰى نَارًا حَامِيَةًۙ
[88:5]
تَصۡلَىٰ نَارًا حَامِيَةً۬
[88:5] They shall enter a burning Fire;
[88:5] وہ بھڑکتی ہوئی آگ میں داخل ہوں گے۔
[88:6]
تُسْقٰى مِنْ عَيْنٍ اٰنِيَةٍؕ
[88:6]
تُسۡقَىٰ مِنۡ عَيۡنٍ ءَانِيَةٍ۬
[88:6] And will be made to drink from a boiling spring;
[88:6] ایک کھولتے ہوئے چشمے سے انہیں پلایا جائے گا۔
[88:7]
لَـيْسَ لَهُمْ طَعَامٌ اِلَّا مِنْ ضَرِيْعٍۙ
[88:7]
لَّيۡسَ لَهُمۡ طَعَامٌ إِلَّا مِن ضَرِيعٍ۬
[88:7] They will have no food save that of dry, bitter and thorny herbage,
[88:7] ان کے لئے کوئی کھانا نہ ہوگا مگر تھوہر سے بنا ہوا۔
[88:8]
لَّا يُسْمِنُ وَلَا يُغْنِىْ مِنْ جُوْعٍؕ
[88:8]
لَّا يُسۡمِنُ وَلَا يُغۡنِى مِن جُوعٍ۬
[88:8] Which will neither fatten, nor satisfy hunger.
[88:8] نہ وہ موٹا کرے گا اور نہ بھوک سے نجات دے گا۔
[88:9]
وُجُوْهٌ يَّوْمَٮِٕذٍ نَّاعِمَةٌۙ
[88:9]
وُجُوهٌ۬ يَوۡمَٮِٕذٍ۬ نَّاعِمَةٌ۬
[88:9] And some faces on that day will be joyful,
[88:9] بعض چہرے اس دن تر و تازہ ہوں گے۔
[88:10]
لِّسَعْيِهَا رَاضِيَةٌۙ
[88:10]
لِّسَعۡيِہَا رَاضِيَةٌ۬
[88:10] Well pleased with their labour,
[88:10] اپنی کوششوں پر بہت خوش۔
