Background and Participation in the Battle of Badr

Hazrat Dhahaak(ra) bin Haritha belonged to the Ansar tribe of Khazraj. His father’s name was Haritha and mother’s name was Hind bint Malik. Hazrat Dhahaak^(ra) took part in the Bai‘at of Aqabah along with seventy other companions. He also took part in the battle of Badr. His son’s name was Yazid who was born to his wife, Umaamah bint Muharith.
