Background and Participation in Battles

Hazrat Isma^(ra) bin Hussain belonged to the tribe of Banu Auf bin Khazraj. His brother, Hubail bin Wabrah takes his name from his grandfather, Wabrah. Hazrat Isma bin Hussain and his brother Hubail bin Wabrah both took part in the Battle of Badr. Some have disputed whether or not he took part in the Battle of Badr but nonetheless, others have stated that he took part.
