Background, Participation in Battles and Martyrdom
Hazrat Abdullah(ra) bin al Rabi‘ belonged to the Banu Abjar clan of the Khazraj tribe. His mother’s name was Fatima bint Amr. He participated in the second Bai‘at [oath of initiation] that took place at Aqabah. He also had the honour of participating in the battles of Badr, Uhud and Mautah. He attained martyrdom during the Battle of Mautah.
