Background and Participation in Battles
Hazrat Aamir(ra) bin Salma is also referred to as Amr bin Salma. He belonged to the Bali tribe. Bali is a branch of the ancient Arab tribe of Qdha‘ah which is found in Yemen. Due to this association, he is also referred to as Aamir(ra) bin Salma Balawi. Hazrat Aamir(ra) was a confederate of the Ansar. Hazrat Aamir(ra) bin Salma had the honour of participating in the battles of Badr and Uhud.
