Background and Participation in Battles

Hazrat Abdullah^(ra) bin Nu‘man bin Baldama’s grandfather’s name is reported as Baldama or Balzama. Hazrat Abdullah^(ra) bin Nu‘man belonged to the Banu Khunaas clan of the Khazraj tribe of the Ansar. Hazrat Abdullah^(ra) bin Nu‘man was the paternal cousin of Hazrat Abu Qatadah^(ra). He had the honour of participating in the battles of Badr and Uhud.
