Background and Participation in Battles
Hazrat Abdullah(ra) bin Nu‘man bin Baldama’s grandfather’s name is reported as Baldama or Balzama. Hazrat Abdullah(ra) bin Nu‘man belonged to the Banu Khunaas clan of the Khazraj tribe of the Ansar. Hazrat Abdullah(ra) bin Nu‘man was the paternal cousin of Hazrat Abu Qatadah(ra). He had the honour of participating in the battles of Badr and Uhud.
