Background and Participation in the Battle of Badr

Hazrat Amr^(ra) bin Harith belonged to the tribe of Banu Harith. Some have reported his name as Amr and others recorded it as Aamir. His title was Abu Naafey. Hazrat Amr^(ra) accepted Islam in the early days in Mecca. He participated in the second migration to Abyssinia. He also had the honour of participating in the Battle of Badr.
