Background and Participation in the Battle of Badr
Hazrat Amr(ra) bin Harith belonged to the tribe of Banu Harith. Some have reported his name as Amr and others recorded it as Aamir. His title was Abu Naafey. Hazrat Amr(ra) accepted Islam in the early days in Mecca. He participated in the second migration to Abyssinia. He also had the honour of participating in the Battle of Badr.
