Background and Participation in Battles
Hazrat Khirash(ra) bin Simma Ansari belonged to the Banu Jusham, a branch of the Khazraj tribe. His mother’s name was Umme Habeeb. Abdur Rahman and Aisha were among the children of Hazrat Khirash(ra). Hazrat Khirash(ra) participated in the battles of Badr and Uhud. He sustained ten injuries on the occasion of Uhud.
