Background and Participation in Battles

Hazrat Khirash^(ra) bin Simma Ansari belonged to the Banu Jusham, a branch of the Khazraj tribe. His mother’s name was Umme Habeeb. Abdur Rahman and Aisha were among the children of Hazrat Khirash^(ra). Hazrat Khirash^(ra) participated in the battles of Badr and Uhud. He sustained ten injuries on the occasion of Uhud.
