Background

Hazrat Malik^(ra) bin Amr belonged to Banu Hijr, which was a branch of the tribe of Banu Sulaim, who were confederates of Banu Abd-i-Shams. His father was Amr bin Sumait. Hazrat Malik^(ra) participated in the Battle of Badr along with his two brothers, Hazrat Saqf^(ra) bin Amr and Hazrat Mudlij^(ra) bin Amr. Participation in Battles and Martyrdom
