Background and Participation in Battles

His full name was Rafay bin Harith bin Sawad. He belonged to the Ansar tribe of Banu Najjar. He took part in all the battles alongside the Holy Prophet^(sa), including the Battle of Badr, Uhud and Khandaq. He passed away during the Khilafat of Hazrat Uthman^(ra).
