Background and Participation in Battles

There are varying opinions regarding the name of Hazrat Rib‘ee^(ra) bin Rafay’s paternal grandfather. According to one narration, his name was Harith, whereas, according to another source, his name was Zaid. Hazrat Rib‘ee^(ra) bin Rafay was from the Banu Ajlaan tribe and he took part in the Battle of Badr and Uhud.
