Background, Participation in Battles and Martyrdom
Hazrat Sulaim(ra) bin Amr Ansari’s mother’s name was Umme Sulaim(ra) bint Amr. He belonged to the Banu Salama clan of the Khazraj. According to other narrations, his name is also reported as Sulaiman bin Amr. He performed the Bai‘at along with 70 people at Aqabah. He participated in the battles of Badr and Uhud and was martyred during the Battle of Uhud, while his servant Antarah was also with him.
