Background and Participation in Battles

Hazrat Zaid^(ra) bin Muzain’s father’s name was Muzain bin Qais. Hazrat Zaid^(ra) has also been mentioned as Yazid bin al-Muzain. He belonged to the Khazraj tribe. He participated in the battles of Badr and Uhud. During the time of migration to Medina, the Holy Prophet^(sa) established a bond of brotherhood between Hazrat Zaid^(ra) and Hazrat Mistah bin Uthatha^(ra). He had a son named Umar and a daughter named Ramlah.
