Background
Hazrat Ziyaad(ra) bin Amr was also known as Ibn-e-Bishr and was a confederate of the Ansar. He participated in the Battle of Badr along with his brother Hazrat Dhamrah(ra). He belonged to the Banu Sa‘idah bin Ka‘b tribe. According to another narration, he was the freed slave of Banu Sa‘idah bin Ka‘b bin Al-Khazraj.
