Chief of the Prophets
Chief of the Prophets is the English translation of Sīrat Sayyidul Anbiyā’, a chronological history of the life of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa). The book presents an eye-opening insight into the world in which the Holy Prophet(sa) appeared, providing the relevant historical context and highlighting the tremendous social transformation brought about by the lofty spirituality and virtuous character of the Holy Prophet(sa).
Sīrat Sayyidul Anbiyā’ was one of the first books written by Sheikh ‘Abdul-Qādir (1909 to 1966), who was a Khatri Hindu before accepting Ahmadiyyat at the tender age of fifteen. He dedicated his life to Islam and graduated from the newly established Ahmadiyya Missionary School in Qadian, India. He served as an exemplary Ahmadi Muslim missionary throughout his life in Karachi, Faisalabad (Lyallpur), Sheikhupura, Sargodha, and Lahore.
He also authored several biographies (Ḥayāt-e-Ṭayyibah, Ḥayāt-e-Nūr, and Ḥayāt-e-Bashīr) and the history of the Lahore Ahmadiyya Muslim Community (Tārīkh-e-Aḥmadiyyat).
