With reference to the International Jalsa Salana to be held here in Britain next weekend, Hazoor delivered today’s Friday Sermon in light of verse (59:10) of Surah Al-Hashr that purports the significance of hospitality.
Hazoor explained that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said that it is obligatory for one who believes in Allah and the Day of Judgment to be hospitable and that there is no blessing for one who is not hospitable. He added that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be on him) said there are great rewards for those who are genial towards their guests and that a small act of kindness like being affable to one’s brother is a virtue and should not be underrated.
Speaking with reference to the writings of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) Hazoor said that a guest is in a most vulnerable position and one should try one’s utmost that they are not inconvenienced in any way at all. Speaking specifically about the guests at the Jalsa Hazoor said it is important that they are all treated alike and are provided for all their needs and requirements.
Addressing the host Jama’at of Britain Hazoor said he expected them to attend the Jalsa all three days unless there is a well-founded reason for not doing so. Hazoor admonished to spend the Jalsa days in remembrance of Allah, to co-operate with those on duty and in-charge, to avoid disagreeable talk, inapt hilarity and general confrontational attitude.
Hazoor reminded of the significance of cleanliness as being integral to our faith, he enjoined ladies to be particular about covering up and everyone to be mindful about restraining of the eyes. Hazoor stressed that the ID cards should be worn at all times. In conclusion Hazoor reminded that the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) had indeed said that this Jalsa should never be considered like ordinary gatherings and spectacles of this world, that he had said “ this is not another spectacle from among the spectacles of this world”. Hazoor ended on a dua of the Promised Messiah (on whom be peace) for the success and triumph of the Jalsa. Insha'Allah
