The Light of the Holy Qur’an
Numbers I & II
by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, The Promised Messiah and Mahdi(as)
English translation of Nurul-Qur’an, Numbers I & II
In 1895, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) founded a quarterly periodical named Nurul-Qur’an (The Light of the Holy Qur’an) with the express intent of disseminating the truths and verities of the Divine Word. Every claim or argument presented would be sourced directly from the Quran itself to demonstrate that the Holy Quran alone maintains the miraculous quality of articulating both, its claims and their corroboration.
Accordingly, in Nurul-Qur’an–Number I, the Promised Messiah(as) demonstrates that the Holy Quran not only makes the emphatic claim of its Divine origin and the prophethood of the Holy Prophet(sa), but it also proves this very claim with exceedingly powerful and potent arguments.
In Nurul-Qur’an–Number II, the Promised Messiah(as) expresses his great regret upon being compelled to rebut the filthy and sordid allegations that were heaped upon the Holy Prophet(sa) by one Fateh Masih—a Christian missionary whose slanders said more about his own filthy character than the Prophet he intended to malign. The Promised Messiah pays the clergyman back in his own coin, exposing the so-called Christian scholar’s hypocrisy, ignorance, and bigotry.
